Our 5 frame Nucleus, (NUC) colonies will come with a fully mated queen that is established and in egg laying mode. When you receive your nuc it will consist 5-frames total, a marked 2024 Cordovan Queen, 2-3 frames of brood, and a nuc box for easy transporting. Because there is brood hatching and young bees being born, nucs build up more quickly than packages and need to be transferred to full-size colonies immediately!
